If you’re looking for a mix of jazz and coastal beauty over the Guinness Cork Jazz Festival weekend, then swing on down to the picturesque town of Kinsale!
The Guinness Kinsale Jazz ‘Fringe’ Festival has announced an exciting line-up of more than 100 free gigs for the October bank holiday weekend. The popular seaside town serves up an extra helping of jazz over the weekend and plays a perfect compliment to the main festival jam packed with headline acts in Cork City Centre.
The streets of Kinsale will literally come alive with music on the Sunday as a jazz procession winds its way along the colourful town.
Of course, every bar and hotel in Kinsale will also be in full swing with residencies and more than 100 gigs in more than 20 venues from noon until late each day! Highly anticipated acts confirmed for the weekend include the well-loved Blues Brothers Banned, Billy Crosbie and Deirdre McCallum, Loose Change, and String Fellows.
“There’s a fantastic line up in Kinsale over the weekend, all of which perfectly complement the events taking place in Cork City. We’re delighted to be able to bring so many free gigs to the vibrant pubs and hotels in Kinsale this year. I would encourage everyone to spend a few hours of the weekend in Kinsale if they have time!” said Una McCarthy from Guinness.
The fringe event in Kinsale is run by local Kinsale Vintners, together with Guinness.
