Fota House and Arboretum
Looking for some place sheltered and warm (well, almost) to visit these cold days. Then, why not try Fota House Gardens and Arboretum. Fantastic sheltered walks here and quite a lot of colour too despite the delayed Spring. The Gardens and Arboretum are managed by the OPW and admission is free (though there is a three euro parking fee). Fota House is now open to the public and tours (charge) are available from 11.00am each day. The cafe is open for Spring / Summer: Monday - Saturday: 10am - 5pm; Sunday: 11am - 5pm.
