Exhibition Opening of ‘Grattan Street Stories: A Memory of Place’ at St Peter’s North Main Street, Cork, at 6pm on Thursday, February 6th 2020.

Visual exhibit by Dr Edith O’Regan-Cosgrave, in collaboration with the Cork Folklore Project’s Memory of Place presentation by Kieran Murphy, supported through the Community Work Department and Social Inclusion Cork Kerry Community Healthcare HSE. 

‘Grattan Street Stories: A Memory of Place’ is a visual art exhibition and folklore audio presentation about Grattan Street Health Centre and the community it served. 
The exhibition combines photographs, paintings, text, paper artefacts, oral history and archival material to explore the life and closure of a community healthcare centre, sited in a former 19th century Quaker meeting house in Cork’s inner city.

6:00pm: Official Opening by Joe O’Shea, editor of Cork Beo, author and broadcaster. Followed by an audio presentation by The Cork Folklore Project and opening reception.
