Plugd Records reopening, Theatre Workshops, an Art Exhibition and Live Music all on one day!

PLUGD RECORDS will move into Triskel and will reopen on Sat 12th in the first floor of the refurbished building. Doors open at 11am.

THEATRE: Corcadorca will present the new ‘Theatre Development Centre’ at Triskel on Saturday 12th. To celebrate its opening, there will be two great workshops and a rehearsed reading all for free. At 11am there is a ‘Making Voice Art!’ workshop with Jack Healy of Theatre Makers.

From 2pm to 3.30pm people can attend ‘Making Theatre /Living Out Loud’, a fun workshop on the process of making original work run by Hilary O'Shaughnessy. Then from 4pm to 5pm, there will be a rehearsed reading of Enda Walsh's ‘Bedbound’, performed by Louis Lovett and Mary Louise McCarthy.

There will also be a chat desk from 10am to 5.30 if people want to come to talk about ideas or projects they would like to bring to the new Theatre Development space.

EXHIBITION: The Black Mariah and Triskel will present ‘Community Thunder’, a one person exhibition by British artist Mike Ballard on the occasion of Triskel’s reopening at Tobin Street. The exhibition opens 6pm on Saturday evening and ALL are welcome.

MUSIC: New Zealand psychedelic noise project ‘Our Love Will Destroy the World’ will perform in the theatre space. Campbell Kneale’s intensely physical one-man show veers between austere electronics and elating, ferocious noise. To finish off the evening Juju & Jordash will play anything from Thelonious Monk to Cabaret Voltaire and no doubt some of their own highly acclaimed productions.
